Scholarships
In the academic year beginning September 2013, the Governors will award scholarships to children of outstanding ability. These are awarded for music, sport, academic and in exceptional circumstances, an all-rounder, which encompasses all of the above. Scholarships involve the reduction of fees, by a percentage, which is retained throughout a pupil’s time at Taverham Hall School, subject to satisfactory progress. Scholarship tests take place in January 2014.
Scholarships will be awarded on the results of assessments and interviews to be held on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th of January 2014.
The closing date for applications is Monday 20th January 2014. Applicants should be under 11 years old on 1 September 2012 and should be in Year 3 or above at the time of the test. Completed application forms should be returned to the Headmaster. Candidates will be notified of the exact arrangements in advance.
In addition, the school offers 11+ scholarships for talented and dedicated pupils, who are committed to reaching their full potential in the upper years at Taverham Hall School. Pupils must be new to the school at this entry point and we aim to reward a mix of abilities. The closing date for 11+ applications is Monday 20th January 2014.
Please contact the headmaster’s secretary on +44 (0)1603 868206 for an application form or click here to submit your enquiry online (please indicate in the ‘Comments’ box which scholarship you are interested in).

Bursaries
It is important to differentiate between scholarships and bursaries. The aim of the bursary programme is to help children who are sufficiently able to meet our entry requirements but would be unable to attend the school without financial assistance.
Consequently, bursaries are based on means-testing and are provided for pupils whose parents could not otherwise afford to send their child(ren) to our Independent School in Norwich.
